Add Pellevé to your Practice
Non-surgical Facelifts
If you start to notice that the skin around your jaws, cheeks and brows begins to droop or that the creases around your nose and mouth deepen and become more pronounced, you may be looking for solutions that will "turn back the clock" significantly. Recognizing the limitations of all topical face creams, the internet is full of information about other cosmetic procedures that can come to aid. If the thought of plastic surgery makes you queasy, a non-surgical facelift may be just the answer for you.
While a non-surgical lift is unlikely to achieve the dramatic results of a full facelift, it can help to rejuvenate and tighten your skin in a natural way that will shave years off of your appearance. These procedures also pose fewer risks and require very minimal recovery time. Unlike typical facelift surgery, you will not go under the knife and so there will be no scars from the procedure. For these reasons, non-surgical facelifts are especially suitable for younger people with busy lifestyles who may be noticing signs of aging, but are not yet prepared to undergo a full facelift.
Available Treatments
A number of advanced technologies are available today to help men and women achieve some of the effects of a facelift without a surgical operation. Some of the safest and most popular techniques are listed below.
Pellevé: Pellevé is an FDA cleared technology for firming and tightening facial skin and reducing wrinkles in the skin. The procedure is quite comfortable for the patient and requires almost no downtime. Pellevé uses continuous radiofrequency energy delivered to the deeper layers of the skin. The RF energy creates heat in the tissues that stimulates the production of new collagen. The overall experience for the patient is much like a warm, gentle massage. There is virtually no recovery needed. Click here to learn more.
Lasers: There are dozens of different laser devices cleared by the FDA that are used in non-surgical facelifts. Non-ablative lasers are less invasive and therefore their clinical effect on patients’ skin is relatively mild. Better results can be achieved with ablative lasers (such as CO2 based devices); however, the treatment can cause pain and includes creating small skin injuries to encourage the creation of new collagen. Downtime can be significant, often 5-7 days.
Facial Fillers: A variety of injectables, including neurotoxins and fillers can also help address wrinkles that appear because of the aging process. Popular for treatment of wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyes, crow's feet and smile lines, these facial fillers offer a temporary relief. Either muscles are paralyzed using neurotoxins or wrinkles are filled with other products. The downside is that you will need to repeat these injections every few months to preserve your new look.
Some aesthetic experts prefer to use a combination of the treatments listed above to provide their patients a more comprehensive solution. You are advised to use our "Find a Physician" search box on the right side of this page to locate a cosmetic professional who uses Pellevé among other cosmetic treatments to improve patients' appearance.
